Associate Membership gives schools access to essential AISA offerings including high-quality events, expert-led programs, and practical resources. As your school continues to grow, upgrading to Full Membership opens even more possibilities: recognition programs, student enrichment, and the chance to shape AISA’s direction through leadership and design roles.

AISA welcomes applications from any elementary and/or secondary school in Africa that offers an international curriculum using English as the primary language of instruction.
Associate Membership is awarded to schools that are committed to international-mindedness and intercultural competence which we expect to be reflected in the school’s mission and vision.
Associate School Membership is only awarded to schools who:
Are currently in the process of gaining accreditation or authorization by an AISA recognized agency outside the host country or gaining authorization for the IB PYP and/or MYP program.
Have an explicit reference to the promotion of international-mindedness and intercultural competence in its mission.
Offer an international curriculum using English as the primary language of instruction.

Membership fees enable AISA to offer a learning program and services that meet the needs of member schools. The fees allow AISA to keep learning event fees to a minimum, enabling staff from all member schools, no matter their size, to access world-class professional learning opportunities.
AISA calculates the membership fees annually (July 1 to June 3. Below are the current school membership fees established by the AISA Board of Directors.
The 2025/26 annual school membership fees are determined according to the school enrollment and approved by the AISA Board of Directors.

Category AA (less than 50 students): US$420
Category A (51-100 students): US$845
Category B (101-200 students): US$1,670
Category C (201-400 students): US$2,700
Category D (401-600 students): US$3,545
Category E (over 600 students): US$4,505
Category F (Group of schools: up to 5 schools): US$6,475
