Teaching & Learning Program
Strengthening Practice.
Inspiring Growth.
Teaching and Learning is at the heart of AISA’s mission to support international schools in Africa. This learning program equips educators with practical, evidence-informed strategies that improve instruction, deepen student engagement, and strengthen classroom practice across a wide range of curricula and contexts.
Our approach is grounded in collaboration and continuous learning. AISA offers in-person workshops, virtual events, peer groups, and curated resources to help educators refine their craft and respond to the evolving needs of students.
In addition to Teaching & Learning best practices this program features two key focus areas:
Whether schools follow IB, British, American, or other international frameworks, AISA supports adaptable, high-impact approaches that reflect the realities of teaching in Africa.
We believe great teaching is context-aware, inclusive, and always evolving. This program helps educators grow their capacity while staying connected to trusted peers and shared best practice.

Engage in Learning Events
AISA offers a rich mix of in-person and virtual learning events that bring each program to life. From deep-dive institutes to practical online workshops, these events connect educators and leaders across Africa for shared learning, inspiration, and real-world application.
Practice Groups
AISA’s program-based Practice Groups offer members a space to connect, collaborate, and grow together throughout the year. These peer-facilitated communities foster ongoing dialogue, resource sharing, and practical support, linking educators with others doing similar work across the continent.
Practice Groups are created in May - August for the next school year.
