Affiliate School Membership

AISA welcomes applications from any elementary and/or secondary school in Africa that offers an international curriculum using English as the primary language of instruction.

Membership is awarded to schools that are committed to international-mindedness and intercultural competence which we expect to be reflected in the school’s mission and vision.

Affiliate School Membership is for schools undergoing accreditation, enabling them to access the benefits of membership which will support their accreditation journey. This is a temporary membership with schools needing to achieve accreditation within 5 years of joining.

Process

  • Should you meet the preliminary criteria assessment, you will be invited to complete a Full School Profile.
  • AISA will invoice you for the non-refundable US$150 application fee. Please note that your full application will not be processed until the fee has been paid.
  • Applications will be processed on a monthly basis by the Membership Committee of the AISA Board.
  • If successful, you are required to pay your Annual Membership Dues within 3 months to activate your membership.
  • Note that AISA does not offer partial annual subscriptions. Payment of the annual membership dues is for the entire membership year from 1 July to 30 June.

Fees

Membership fees enable AISA to offer a learning programme and services that meet the needs of member schools. The fees allow AISA to keep conference and institute costs to a minimum, enabling staff from all member schools, no matter their size, to access world-class professional learning opportunities.

AISA calculates the membership fees on an annual basis (July 1 to June 30), and these fees cannot be pro-rated. Below are the current school membership fees set by the AISA Board of Directors.

The 2024/25 annual school membership fees are determined according to the school enrollment and approved by the AISA Board of Directors.
