Although AISA member schools often differ in their governance structures, they experience many common challenges. These include frequent transitions of senior leadership roles, new members of the Board with limited governance experience, few support mechanisms, school infrastructure challenges, operating environments that are unstable or hindered by weak government institutions, and more. These challenges can impair the school’s ability to operate effectively and achieve its goals for student learning.
Understanding that strong governance is an essential part of school effectiveness, AISA is committed to providing school support and guidance in this vital area.
