Aside from embracing the opportunities brought forward by the unprecedented events of 2020, blended learning addresses the fact that AISA schools have students with a diverse range of experiences and educational needs.
Blended learning helps teachers offer a more individualised and inclusive approach to teaching and learning to prepare our students for the future.
We believe that blended learning transforms student learning through personalisation and increased agency. It provides for myriad opportunities such as active learning where students have more responsibilities, the promotion of best practices by improving teachers’ pedagogical approach, improved technological standards for both technology and other subject areas, individualised learning by creating space for teachers to dedicate more time to small groups and individuals, and improving school emergency readiness by enabling teachers, students and parents to move to a fully virtual learning platform in case of emergency closures.
AISA has created numerous online communities for its members to participate in. Some of these online forums are hosted by experts in the field of blended learning and are designed to assist leaders, educators, and co-professionals who are responsible for their school’s blended learning programme.Join AISA's Blended Learning Discussion Forum
Throughout every school year, AISA provides learning events for blended learning coordinators, educators, leaders and others to develop their knowledge and skills on how to develop and implement a blended learning programme in their school.See AISA's Learning Events
AISA has a substantial range of AISA-created blended learning resources as well as some collected from some of the most respected experts in the field. These resources are easily searchable and downloadable to all school leaders, educators, programme coordinators and co-professionals responsible for their school’s blended learning programme.

AISA has partnered with Edmentum to bring their digital curriculum resources and online, remote teaching options to our schools at a time when demand for both are increasing exponentially. Edmentum has many years of expertise in providing virtual teaching for schools that do not have resources for teachers in every subject in every qualification, thus allowing students in AISA schools to access options that would not otherwise be available to them.
The Association of International Schools in Africa is dedicated to serving its members throughout Africa. Please let us know if you require additional or specific information, resources and or support, and we will endeavour to assist you as soon as possible.
