Mindfulness: Exploring Mindfulness to Support our Well-being

Date: April 22, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic presents a perfect storm of unknowns for our students, parents, and educators – school closures, stay in place orders, and the uncertainty of how long this will last can be a lot to process for anyone and make any attempts to remain calm and present seem nearly impossible.

During this practical webinar, participants will:

  • gain an understanding of what mindfulness is
  • and what it isn’t, including some common misconceptions about mindfulness
  • be presented some of the science supporting its efficacy
  • explore different forms of mindfulness practice
  • learn a mindfulness exercise they can incorporate into their daily life

Facilitator: Elmeka Henderson
