Online learning is fast becoming the future of education, offering flexibility, accessibility, and customised learning. True to these wonderful benefits, Moreland University is built on an interactive, collaborative, online learning platform.

The learning experience is primarily virtual and uses a curriculum created for the preparation of post-baccalaureate candidates. Together with the online programme content, Moreland University offers early field experiences and clinical practice in schools, as well as programme assessments and evaluation strategies.

In each programme, an instructor from their faculty works with 10-15 candidates, forming a learning group, to complete learning modules that include instruction, videos, readings, and relevant activities.

Harunah S., a teacher assistant in Kampala, Uganda, who graduated from the TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Programme in 2022, shared the value of the training received.

“One of the most important skills I learned was the ability to effectively manage a classroom. In addition, I learned how to design effective lesson plans that incorporate various instructional strategies and assessment tools. Furthermore, I learned how to use technology in the classroom to aid in instruction and to engage students”, Harunah said.

AISA Member Schools have the added benefit of exclusive offers from Moreland University, valid until 6 May 2023. The TEACH-NOW Teacher Preparation Certificate Programme is on offer at $5,400 per candidate (standard price is $6,500), and the Master’s Degree in Education is on offer at $11,700 per candidate (standard price is $14,000). They also offer a 3-week professional development programme focused on Classroom Management skills for newly hired teachers, teacher assistants, and substitute teachers.  The cost is $450 per participant.
