AISA Event Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations for chargeable events must be in writing. No refunds will be given for no-shows.
- Registrants can cancel their participation in ‘Free of Charge’ or ‘No-cost’ AISA learning events without penalty. A written cancellation notice is appreciated for events where participation numbers are limited.
- For a chargeable event, any cancellation notice received 31 days before the event commences is eligible for a refund, less a US$25 administration fee.
- Due to costs incurred by AISA, registration fees for chargeable events will not be refunded if notification of cancellation is received within 30 days of the start of the event.
- Refunds for chargeable events may be granted beyond this date if an attendee cannot attend the conference due to an emergency, death in the family, illness, or other extraordinary circumstances. In such a situation, the AISA Executive Director must be contacted before the event via e-mail at director@aisa.or.ke. Refunds may be subject to a US$25 administration fee
- All approved refunds will be processed to the paying bank account unless the delegate has a written notice from the paying institution to direct funds to a different bank account.
- Some programme topics and speakers may be subject to change without notice.
- If AISA needs to cancel an event or shift its date, all paid registrants are eligible to receive a full refund of their registration fees. AISA members may choose to have their refund credited to their AISA account. All refunds will be processed within 90 days.
- AISA is not responsible for any loss of personal effects, travel delays, accidental injuries, medical expenses or other travel and health-related costs incurred by registrants while attending an AISA learning event. AISA strongly advises registrants to take out travel insurance to safeguard themselves from any unforeseen changes or cancellations of travel arrangements.
- While many airlines and hotels now offer favourable cancellation terms to individual tourists, we strongly advise you to take out travel insurance.
