    Gifty Owusu-Bekoe was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and she graduated from McGill University earning herself a Bachelor in Education. She currently resides in Accra, Ghana and teaches at the Lincoln Community School. Besides teaching, Gifty hosts an annual Summer Camp for kids. With that being said, Gifty is not only a teacher but has a strong passion for creating positive relationships with her students and it is through that zeal she is hosting the workshop titled “Creating Meaningful Relationships with our students”.

Creating Meaningful Relationships with our Students

Research has shown that having a positive teacher-student relationship has a direct connection with students’ academic performance. This workshop will share some insights on how to establish a good rapport with your students that will leave you as a teacher feeling good and your students too!

Learning Objectives

  • Assess the impact of student-teacher relationships on instruction.
  • Evaluate techniques and strategies to apply in the classroom to build meaningful relationships and establish boundaries.
