Storytelling and Service Learning – Stories as Fuel for Change

Date: September 29, 2021

The aim of this webinar was to explore how to use storytelling to build intercultural awareness and grow school cultures that value service and sustainability.

This webinar explored why and how to use stories to amplify our service learning programs.

Some of the questions asked include:

  • How can we listen to each other so we build intercultural understanding?
  • How can stories help us understand the root causes of inequity or injustice, and how can this shape our understanding of another person’s experience or perspective?
  • How might this shape our service learning programs to get at deeper levels of understanding and empathy?
  • How can we create and tell our service stories to build rich cultures on our campuses where service and sustainability flourish?
