The aim of this session is to help international school leaders to understand the importance of organizational resilience and how all school functions are tied to resilience.
Every school function contributes to a safe school environment and needs to be integrated into a comprehensive resiliency philosophy. Disruptions that can affect school operations come from all directions and knowing how to identify those potential disruptions, prepare to mitigate and respond to those disruptions and then to recover and be stronger as a school community will be at the core of this session.
Resiliency is all about communication, conversation and collaboration amongst a diverse set of school stakeholders. Organizations draw their beliefs from their individual stakeholders’ beliefs thus the importance of having a diverse community. Resiliency is not just achieved by a few stakeholders toiling away in their daily duties. It’s literally an “it takes a village” approach.
The Association of International Schools in Africa is dedicated to serving its members throughout Africa. Please let us know if you require additional or specific information, resources and or support, and we will endeavour to assist you as soon as possible.
