The 2022 AISA Conference for AISA members will soon take place from 08 – 10 October 2022 at the Indaba Hotel, Conference Centre and Spa in the vibrant city of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Themed ‘From Surviving to Thriving: Designing for Belonging, Wellbeing and Transformation’, this event will be the first in-person conference hosted in over two years, which will also take place virtually.

Through exciting deep dives and workshops, the 2022 AISA Conference will explore how we can design the future of international education in Africa while prioritising the well-being of students, educators, leaders, and parents

We invited leading experts and consultants who will take you on a journey of discovery through innovations in teaching, learning, and leading that are transforming schools and their communities.

The 2022 AISA Conference professional learning, affinity groups, discovery workshops, exhibition and social events have been designed to reinforce the sense of belonging. The deep dives and discovery workshops will feature insightful topics that include Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ), Social and Emotion Learning (SEL), Coaching for Outstanding Teaching and Inter-Cultural Competence.

The affinity groups have been designed to unite those with shared identities and ensure their voices are acknowledged and valued. These affinity groups include LGBTQ+ Educators, Women in Leadership, the DEIJ Collaborative and BIPOC Educators.

The conference programme also includes opportunities for you to network with your colleagues and peers, with our associate members and with thought leaders in international education at the AISA Associate Members’ exhibition and Gala Dinner.

There’s so much to look forward to and discover at the 2022 AISA Conference and being able to attend in person and virtually this year makes it impossible not to be there!
