Alistair is the founder of Restorative360 and is a passionate advocate for Restorative Practices in Education. A graduate of both Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities, Alistair is in his eighteenth year of teaching and his fourth year at the International School of Kenya, where he teaches Social Sciences, IB Global Politics and Theory of Knowledge, as well as being a Grade Level Leader. Prior to that he taught History and was ToK coordinator for nine years at the British International School of Jeddah.
Before entering Education, Alistair spent several years as a youth worker in inner city Glasgow, working in various urban priority areas, where he adopted and developed restorative approaches. He graduated with a Master of Science in Restorative Practices earlier this year. Alistair offers a variety of workshops to international schools seeking to embrace Restorative Practices, ranging from a 2 hour taster session to a 3 day deep dive.
He is married to a South African Art teacher and has two very sporty daughters (12 and 10 years old). They are an international family holding British, Italian and South African nationalities. His claim to fame is that he is related to the singer Lewis Capaldi and the actor Peter Capaldi.
