Description

An effective board is the cornerstone of strong governance and strategic oversight in international schools. Building and sustaining such a board requires intentionality in its composition, diversity, succession planning, and accountability structures. Effective board member onboarding is critical for fostering a well-informed, cohesive, and proactive board. Effective onboarding not only accelerates new board members’ understanding but also strengthens overall governance. When done right, onboarding sets the stage for a collaborative board culture, minimizes disruption, and ensures continuity in decision-making.
