Description

This workshop will help attendees to better understand the powerful role online learning can play in helping students foster skills needed to be successful in a rapidly changing world. As schools embrace online programs to supplement on-site offerings, students will be rewarded with a wealth of choices in online courses that can widen their interests, deepen their learning, and develop stronger transcripts and university applications. Beyond this, online education has great potential to support students with varied learning needs through the use of UDL and built-in accessibility features.

Key questions to be covered are:

  • How can online learning enhance the skill sets students need to thrive in a rapidly changing world?
  • What are the benefits of integrating online programs with traditional school offerings for students’ academic growth and interests?
  • How do online courses contribute to strengthening students’ transcripts and university applications?
  • In what ways does online education support students with diverse learning needs through Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility features?
  • What strategies can schools implement to effectively incorporate online learning into their existing curricula?
