In this pre-conference, you will have an opportunity to meet other service learning educators and leaders from the region, participate in hands-on workshops about curriculum, and be part of the launch of our new Service Learning Self-Assessment Tool for Teachers and Schools.
Service learning has been a priority in AISA’s strategic planning for many years, and yet many schools are still in the beginning or developing stages of creating a K-12 curriculum program rooted in authentic service learning, global citizenship and community engagement. The AISA Service Learning Design Team, in partnership with dozens of educators throughout the region, has identified several themes that create challenges and opportunities for our schools in equipping teachers and students to engage in these experiences. In this session, you will have an opportunity to meet other service learning educators and leaders from the region, participate in hands-on workshops about curriculum, and be part of the launch of our new Service Learning Self-Assessment Tool for Teachers and Schools. You will come away with tools, resources and new knowledge to fuel your service learning practice.
The Association of International Schools in Africa is dedicated to serving its members throughout Africa. Please let us know if you require additional or specific information, resources and or support, and we will endeavour to assist you as soon as possible.
