This event has been specifically designed to bring key colleagues together to share and develop the knowledge, understanding, skills, behaviours and, crucially, confidence, essential for school support staff in executive, leadership, and management roles.

Workshops will cover a range of subjects and activities, allowing quality time and opportunity to address group, school and individual contexts and challenges, whilst facilitating high-quality professional learning, reflection, and personal development planning.

We will work together to improve our understanding of ourselves, our roles, and our relationship with others, gaining a clearer perspective on consistently ensuring excellence in everything our teams (if appropriate) and we do.

With the complexities and ever-increasing pressures we work under, we will focus on recognizing our own value, and the imperative to keep ourselves mentally and physically fit and well.

The event will be insightful, thought-provoking, reflective, full of top tips and ideas – and definitely fun!

As a result of participating in this institute, attendees can expect to learn to:

1. Develop a deeper, more contextualized understanding of our unique contribution to the life chances and wellbeing of the children in our school
2. Explore key concepts and techniques designed to help us improve those essential interpersonal skills and behaviours, including communication; stakeholder engagement; courageous conversations; leading and managing change; negotiating for a win-win. Whilst recognizing that, just sometimes, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast” – Peter Drucker
3. Gain strategies for leading and managing high-quality support services, including developing teams and individuals, managing successful projects and creating opportunities for succession and sustainability.

Target Audience: Executive Assistants and School Secretaries

The registration fees for AISA schools are stipulated below. The registration deadline is Wed. 19 April 2023.

VISA

You will need a valid visa (unless exempted) and a valid travel document to enter Ethiopia. Visitors must obtain a visa from the official Ethiopian e-visa platform or from their nearest Ethiopian Embassy before travelling.

HEALTH

A valid certification of vaccination for Yellow Fever is required if you are coming from a country where Yellow Fever is present.

Passengers aged 12 and over who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 more than two weeks before the date of entry are required to show evidence of this. Accepted vaccinations are a single dose of Johnson and Johnson, or two doses for Astra-Zeneca, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Moderna and Pfizer.

If you’re not fully vaccinated, you’ll need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 RT PCR test result issued within 72 hours (3 days) before departure, or a rapid lateral flow test up to 24 hours before arriving in Ethiopia.

• Book directly with the hotel and request the corporate rate for ICS Addis.
• You can also book your airport transfers with the hotel. The cost of the transfer should be included in the accommodation rate, however, please confirm with the hotel.
• ICS Addis will provide a shuttle in the morning and a return trip in the evening for participants staying at all the hotels listed above.
• Transportation to and from ICS Addis and other alternative hotels/guesthouses (not listed above) will be the responsibility of the participant.
