The AISA-Global Issues Service Summit (AISA-GISS) is a student-led summit hosted by an AISA member school that motivates and encourages students to enquire about global issues and learn alongside other delegates and changemakers from across Africa.
The Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA), in collaboration with the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ), is scheduled to host the 2021 AISA-GISS Virtual Summit from Friday 07 May to Saturday 08 May 2021.
This year’s theme will be centred around ‘Inguquko‘, a Zulu word that means ‘Change’. The youth of this generation are rising up, taking the initiative and with one voice declaring, ‘Change Starts With Us‘.
The two half-days over a Friday (1:30 PM – 5:30 PM) GMT and Saturday (12:30 PM – 5:00 PM) GMT will be packed with presentations from special guests, the host school and other participating schools. Schools will also have a chance to submit recent student service-learning projects which will be uploaded onto the AISA-GISS showcase webpage.
Registration for the 2021 AISA-GISS Virtual Conference will open from Wednesday, 21 April to Friday, 30 April 2021.
Please note that this event will be held at NO COST for AISA member schools and any invited community schools.
