Main Duties/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Duties

  1. Lesson Planning and Delivery
    • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with AIS,Ghana standards, social studies curriculum, and biblical principles.
    • Incorporate various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
    • Use technology and multimedia tools to enhance learning.
  2. Subject-Specific Instruction
    • Teach topics such as history, geography, economics, political science, and culture with a Christian perspective.
    • Encourage students to critically analyze historical and current events through a biblical lens.
  3. Assessment and Evaluation
    • Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students and track their academic progress.
  4. Faith Integration
    • Incorporate biblical teachings and Christian ethics into lessons.
    • Guide discussions on how faith intersects with historical, cultural, and social issues.

Classroom and Behavioral Management

  1. Maintain a positive, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
  2. Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance.
  3. Address classroom challenges with patience and biblical principles.

Spiritual Leadership

  1. Model Christian values and behavior in all interactions.
  2. Lead or participate in prayer, devotionals, or chapel activities.
  3. Support students' spiritual growth by mentoring and providing guidance.

Collaboration and Professional Development

  1. Work with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and shared goals.
  2. Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
  3. Maintain open communication with parents about students’ academic and spiritual development.
Key Skills / Competencies

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, History, or a related field.
  • Teaching credential(State and or ACSI)
  • Teaching Licence(International)

Skills and Competencies

  1. Strong understanding of social studies content and pedagogy.
  2. Ability to articulate and integrate biblical principles into teaching.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficient in classroom technology tools and resources.
Previous Experience & Qualifications

 

Experience

  • Prior experience in teaching social studies in a Christian or secular school.
  • Experience integrating faith and learning is a strong advantage.
