Dr. Maria Hersey is a global educator with extensive experience in educational leadership, international education, social-emotional learning (SEL), curriculum design and global- mindedness. Currently the Founder & CEO for Global Education Advisors, Maria's previous experience includes serving as the Director of Education & Training for The Hawn Foundation where she managed the evidence-based, social-emotional learning program, MindUP™. Prior to this, Maria held several positions within the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) including that of Primary Years Program Regional Manager, Regional Development Specialist and PYP Curriculum Development Specialist.
As an experienced educator with over 10 years in public education, Maria has been dedicated to supporting educational excellence through her roles as an assistant principal, program coordinator, curriculum specialist and classroom teacher.Maria has been invited to lead a variety of conferences and workshops around the world on topics such as school leadership, social-emotional learning, concept-based curriculum, inquiry-based learning and global-mindedness.
Maria holds a Ph.D. and Specialist’s degree in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University where she also serves as an adjunct professor within the Department of Educational Leadership.REGISTER HERE
