Moreland University will be presenting a dynamic Discovery Session at the 2023 AISA Conference on “Student Agency as a Lever for Innovation, Student Engagement, and DEIJ.” Led by Professional Development Specialist Joseph A. Pearson, M.S.Ed., participants will explore the power of student agency in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice within the classroom.
During this collaborative session, participants will complete activities-based learning on research-based practices that empower students to become co-designers and storytellers of their own education. Attendees will gain valuable resources and leave with 12 agentic practices that can be immediately implemented in their classrooms. Additionally, the session will highlight the role of technology as a tool for self-expression and engagement within an agentic learning environment.
