Empowering AISA Educators through the Global Citizenship Certificate Program

POSTED: October 30, 2024Category: Articles, NewsBY: Steve

As educators within the AISA community, you have a vital role in shaping future global citizens. The Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC) program from Inspire Citizens is set to begin on 30 November 2024 and offers an exceptional opportunity to deepen your understanding of DEIJ, service learning and sustainability education. In today’s interconnected world, Global Citizenship Education (GCE) is essential for equipping students with the skills to navigate complex challenges. It fosters critical thinking, empathy, and a commitment to sustainable development, empowering students to address local and global issues as proactive changemakers.

The GCC program is a comprehensive professional learning initiative that equips educators with practical tools and strategies to integrate global citizenship into their curricula. The program features interactive modules covering themes such as harmony with nature, social justice, and intercultural understanding. We offer the program in 3 courses, lasting about six weeks each. Participants benefit from experienced facilitators, access to a supportive community, and official certification upon completion.

Educators who have completed the GCC program report significant positive changes in their teaching approaches. For instance, Dom Verwey from the American International School of Budapest experienced a transformative “lightbulb moment,” empowering his students to envision a better future. This year, AISA educators can enjoy a 10% discount on the GCC program using the code AISA10, aligning with AISA’s commitment to fostering global citizenship in education.

Take action today to empower your teaching and transform your school with the GCC program. Learn more and register here: Global Citizenship Certificate Program.

Together, we can inspire the next generation of changemakers!
