MARGARET SANDERS AISA SCHOLARSHIP FOR GIRLS

In partnership with the Margaret Sanders Foundation, AISA is pleased to offer this opportunity for AISA schools to nominate talented and academically gifted girls who are unable to complete their schooling due to a variety of social, economic and/or cultural constraints.

AISA AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

This award is bestowed upon a final year student at an AISA school who has demonstrated high academic results and whose character exemplifies the association’s values. The student embraces a world view that celebrates human unity and diversity and seeks to demonstrate by example the concept of service to the human family.

STUDENT SERVICE LEADER AWARD

This award is for a student service leader who is able to demonstrate a commitment to their community and how he/she has used learning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address an expressed community need.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE PROJECT AWARD

This award is for a service learning project that may be run by an individual student or group of students whose project has a direct benefit to a community, as opposed to specific people or an individual.

Covid 19 has presented significant challenges to service learning educators and students this year. As schools have navigated between in-person, virtual and hybrid learning, adaptations may have been prudent to some service projects and partnerships. If this is the case with you and your students, please don’t let that dissuade you from applying for a service award this year. Fill out the additional field in the application process that explains how you adapted your project and what transpired as a result, keeping in mind that the impact of your service project is a primary focus.
