Become an AISA School Member

AISA welcomes applications from any elementary and/or secondary school in Africa that offers an international curriculum using English as the primary language of instruction.

Membership is awarded to schools that demonstrate a commitment to international mindedness and intercultural competence which we expect to be reflected in the school’s mission and vision.

Full Membership is awarded to schools who have achieved accreditation or authorization by an AISA recognized agency outside the host country, or, authorization for at least two IB programmes for schools that offer elementary and secondary education. Elementary schools offering the PYP will also be considered for membership.

Affiliate Membership is for schools undergoing accreditation, enabling them to access the benefits of membership which will support their accreditation journey.

Group Membership is available for schools that are defined by uniform branding, common governance, single incorporation (if applicable) and a centralized management office. Each school of the group will be assessed individually for membership eligibility of AISA, and categorised accordingly as either a Full or Affiliate member. All schools in the group must meet the Full Member criteria for the group to meet this categorisation.

School Membership Criteria

  3. Achievement of accreditation or authorization by an AISA recognized agency outside the host country, or Authorization for at least two IB programmes for schools that offer elementary and secondary education.
