Come Together to Learn at the 2023 AISA Annual Conference

‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’

The 2023 AISA Annual Conference is more than a professional learning event; it is an opportunity for AISA members – people working in and with international schools across Africa – to connect, share and collaborate with one another to grow as individuals and a community.

This year’s conference is themed Umoja: Oneness Through Community – Connections – Stories. A Swahili word, Umoja, might be best translated as unity, the principle and practice of togetherness.

We invite our members to experience the power of our community at this much-anticipated professional learning event being held at the International School of Kenya (ISK) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 7 – 9 October.

• Experience an inclusive and supportive environment where you will feel welcome and valued, in which unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives are recognised and appreciated, and AISA’s rich diversity is celebrated.
• Embrace the opportunity to encourage, uplift and support your colleagues and benefit from their guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
• Enrich yourself with the deep learning experiences on offer, from the Pre-conference Workshops (from 4 – 6 October), Deep Dives and Institutes, and Discovery Workshops that will focus on key topics and critical issues within the international schools. And engage in the many networking opportunities and Affinity Groups that will unite those with shared identities to amplify voices.
